Virtual Tour of Heinz History Center

Merakey AVS’s Zapp Program Instructor Carolyn Ging recently hosted a virtual tour and discussion of the Heinz History Center. When Carolyn highlighted the History Uncorked Toys exhibit, Brandon was quick to recall games and toys including Hungry Hippo and Rock'Em Sock'Em Robots. Megan’s favorite was the Mr. Rogers Neighborhood exhibit, contributing to the discussion of the show’s original puppets and adding that she has seen A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood where Tom Hanks plays Mr. Rogers. Michael and Kacey joined into the conversation about Pittsburgh’s famous foods from Isaly’s. Michael remembered the Skyscraper ice cream cone and Kacey recalled the Klondike Bar.
