PVGP is Changing Lanes this Year Due to COVID-19
The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (PVGP), presented by the Greater Pittsburgh Automobile Dealers Foundation, announced that it is switching gears in 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the PVGP has cancelled its July 17-26 Race Week.
The PVGP is still planning to host its Waterfront Car Cruise on July 21 and the Countryside Tour to Jamison Farm on July 23. In the months ahead, the PVGP will work with their car club partners and sponsors to launch a series of driving tours, car shows and fundraisers to continue to support charities who have been hit hard during this pandemic.
The full event will return in 2021, with Corvette as the Marque of the Year. Save the date…July 16 – 25, 2021.
Merakey Allegheny Valley School is extremely grateful for its partnership with the PVGP. As a beneficiary charity since the first races in 1983, Merakey AVS has received proceeds totaling nearly $3,000,000 from the annual event, including $175,750 from the 2019 extravaganza. Merakey AVS is eager to continue to partner in new ways this year, and to returning to the fun and excitement in 2021!
